Products for the polymer industry (thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers), paints, varnishes, adhesives and coatings.
Product Description
MECHANO-CAP® 1P1 is a very pure, spherical natural graphite with a high bulk and tap density. The production is made according to the method of mechano-design. This enables easy access to the basal planes, resulting in fast intercalation and deintercalation. MECHANO-CAP® 1P1 shows a very high tap density and a low specific surface. In lithium ion batteries, undesired surface reactions caused by electrolytes are reduced in this way. In many cases a surface coating is not necessary, and thus a considerable cost saving can be achieved.
Applications
- Anode graphite for lithium ion batteries
- Improvement of thermal and electrical conductivity in polymer systems
- Synergistic effects with other graphite or synthetic materials like MCMB´s
- Production of extremely high packing densities and solid matter concentrations
- Very easy incorporation in elastomers when using kneaders
- Lubricants with extremely high compression resistance

Product Description
MECHANO-COND® 1D5 is a carbon dispersion for aqueous paint and coating systems to achieve electrical conductivity. The dispersion is manufactured according to the FLG*-technology and achieves the highest electrical conductivity. Due to its composition, MECHANO-COND® 1D5 can be incorporated directly into any aqueous formulations and is well tolerated with them. MECHANO-COND® 1D5 contains no binders but only dispersing additives in low concentration and can therefore be used in a wide range of applications. The carbon pigments contained allow – depending on the concentration of use – the setting of different resistance values. Even after a longer service life, the dispersion can easily be stirred up again.
Applications
- Production of electrically conductive or antistatic paint systems, adhesives or coatings
- Heating coatings
- Shielding colors
- Electrically conductive concrete
Features
- Excellent compatibility with waterborne binder systems (acrylates polyurethanes, polyvinyl acetates, etc.)
- Easy training by means of dissolver
- VOC and APEO free
- No sewage problems (biologically eliminable)
- Nonflammable
- Non corrosive
- Odorless

MECHANO-COND® 5VP3 is an electrical conductive and color strength carbon black pigment. It is easy to disperse with common facilities and easy to incorporate in polymers. Reinforcing properties has been shown in some elastomers like SBR, NBR and natural rubber. MECHANO-COND® 5VP3 is available as dust reduced micro granules. Particularly good results are achieved with negative masses in starter batteries, since the contact between lead and electrolyte is improved. MECHANO-COND® 5VP3 is supplied as low-dust microgranules.
Applications
- Coloring of paints and coatings
- Production of toners and ink jet inks
- Coloring of plastics (Masterbatch und Compounds)
- Pigment for pulp and paper
- Pigment for concrete
- Mechanical reinforcing of elastomers (rubber)
- Electrical conductive coatings and polymers

Product Description
MECHANO-COND® 6P1 is a partly delaminated, hexagonal boron nitride (HBN). Hexagonal boron nitride is also known as white graphite. A special feature of HBN is the excellent thermal conductivity and the missing electrical conductivity, as well as the high temperature and oxidation resistance. MECHANO-COND® 6P1 can be used in all fields where the typical features of graphite are not desired (such as avoidance of electrical conductivity) or where they are insufficient (e.g. oxidation resistance). Because of the special grinding method MECHANO-COND® 6P1 has an outstanding platelet structure and a high aspect ratio. Therefore, MECHANO-COND® 6P1 shows an improved thermal conductivity as well as an excellent lubricating effect. Due to its particle structure and distribution, the percolation limit is achieved considerably earlier, saving costs in this way.
Applications
- Reduction of friction coefficient (outstanding lubricating and separating effects)
- Improvement of thermal conductivity
- Synergistic effects with other lubricants like graphite, molybdenum disulfide, tungsten disulfide and PTFE
- Coatings and lacquers
- Production of suspensions
- Mechanical reinforcing of thermoplastics, resins and elastomers
- High temperature resistance even in oxidizing environment
- Electrical isolation
- Chemically inert
- Non-toxic
